Moonlight Chardonney is a lovely medium brown with white markings out of one of our favorite full Peruvian production females, Merlot. Merlot is a true black daughter of the well known Peruvian Black Mesquite. She has produced very well for us giving us three girls and one boy. We have enjoyed showing all of her offspring and they have all been ribbon winning. We were especially fond of showing her son "Osi" who is now owned by Hawks Willow Ranch. We have Merlot bred back to our most recent addition to herdsire row, Seacrest, and we are certain we will be pleased with the result. Because she comes from such a prolific female line, this gives us the opportunity to let Chardonney out of our program.

We are pleased with the consistent nature of her fleece as it has the trademark crimp and bundling we are used to seeing from related offspring. It is also very fine and shows a good measure of density. She has a solid blanket in a rich medium brown. She has the same white face markings of her dam.

Her sire is our own, Snowmass Royal Moonlight, son of the famed Royal Rose, giving Chardonney the genetics of Hemmingway, Bueno and Legacy on her sire's side. She is truly a genetic powerhouse and would make a delightful addition to any herd.
