Patagonia's Muchacha, "Cha Cha" for short, is a feisty, True Black female. Muchacha is a dark silver grey out of a true black dam and a true black sire. Her sire is the multi-award winning Patagonia's Compadre. Her conformation, head, and body type are fabulous.

She started her breeding career in 2007 to Sun Tzu, a Medium Fawn Studmaster (tm) Herdsire owned by Peggy Stevens, Alpacas at Tucker Creek, to add greater fineness, density and crimp to the fleece of her first cria. Diesel of VA sold in early 2009 for use as a herd sire. Next she was bred to FCA Maximus, a 3/4 Accoyo Fawn Color Champion, and new herdsire of Almost Paradise Alpacas, and in the summer 2009 she delivered a dark brown male, 'Gunnar of VA.' Max did what we wanted him to which was add more density and fineness to what Cha Cha offers - once again, in color. Gunnar is now sold and will be used as a herd sire as well.

Muchacha, bred to PHA Maximus (lots of alpacas named Maximus, aren't there?), delivered a GORGEOUS 15#, caramel colored female cria 9/2/2010. Max has extremely low micron fleece and lots of density. The fleece on the cria is very uniform with small tight corkscrew staples. She has very long legs, great conformation, and a beautiful face and head. Her breeding to Patagonia's Manuelo, a stunning new medium brown herdsire, produced a beautiful true black male, Obsidian Tango. His sire, Manuelo has buttery soft, low micron fiber and density that when matched with Cha Cha produced gorgeous color in a very desirable, low micron, consistent fleece.

Her next breeding to Royal Peruvian High Definition produced a stunning true black female. We love the perfect conformation and buttery fleece that this combination produced. We were hoping to have Cha Cha produce in grey with that breeding but instead she produced her trademark Black. Proving out our Legend's Challenger son, we bred her last spring to Challenger's Best Man, producing another true black female, Hidden Pastures Flower Girl, who is sold at side.

She is an exceptional production female, who births with ease and takes wonderful care of her offspring. She has been exposed back to Best Man but is not confirmed by ultrasound.
