 
ATTENTION: These requirements must be met in order to participate in this show.
Certificates of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) and microchips will be checked before alpacas will be admitted into the facility. (NOTE: microchip numbers must be WRITTEN on the CVI. The stick-on labels containing the printed microchip number is not acceptable.)
Certificate of Veterinary Inspection must include:
- ARI Name of alpaca
- Microchip number
- BVDV results
The MAPACA JUBILEE 2007 will require that ALL alpacas entering the show venue be tested for BVDV in addition to the mandated state health requirements as listed below.
BVDV Testing:
Acceptable BVDV tests include either a negative PCR test or a negative VI test.
(PCR = Polymerase Chain Reaction VI = Virus Isolation)
Pennsylvania Health Requirements

All Alpacas Traveling From Inside Pennsylvania Must Have:
- A Veterinary Health Certificate (CVI) completed and signed by a licensed Veterinarian from Pennsylvania within 30 days of the last day of the show.
- CVI must include the alpaca's ARI name the microchip number of the animal it covers.
All Alpacas Traveling From Outside Pennsylvania Must Have:
- A Veterinary Health Certificate (CVI) completed and signed by a licensed Veterinarian from the state of origin within 30 days of the last day of the show.
- CVI must include the alpaca's ARI name the microchip number of the animal it covers.
Additionally, Alpacas From Outside Pennsylvania Must Have:
All Alpacas, 12 months of age or older, the CVI must also include:
- negative results of brucellosis-test given no more than sixty (60) days prior to the event.
- negative results of tuberculin-test given no more than ninety (90) days prior to the event.
- geldings are exempt from brucellosis no matter what age
All alpacas entering the venue must be micro-chipped. The alpaca's ARI name and microchip number must be included on the Certificate of Veterinary Inspection, and verified by the inspecting veterinarian.
If any cria are traveling at side you must have a picture, front and side, attached to the dam's CVI.
