2008 Jubilee Volunteers

We need your help! Volunteer during the largest and most prestigious alpaca show in the country. It’s a great learning experience!

Why be a Volunteer?
Volunteering is a great way to learn more about alpacas, about alpaca shows and to meet your fellow breeders.

Vet Check Volunteer:
During the check-in process, this critical volunteer position helps to assure that we have a safe, secure, and healthy show environment.

Color Checker Volunteer:
Volunteer for this important duty and learn how the color of your alpaca is determined for the show ring. You’ll get to sink your fingers in the fleece of every alpaca coming to the show! What better way is there to learn about quality fiber?

Gate Stewards:
Gate Stewards are integral to the organization and pace of the show. Volunteer here to help keep alpacas moving efficiently into the show ring.

Ring Steward:
Wow! This is a great opportunity to assist judges in handling alpacas in the show ring and to learn of their ring preferences! You’ll learn first hand by observing and assisting some of the industry’s top judges!

Fleece Show Volunteer:
When volunteering to work at the fleece show as a helper, you have the unique chance to stand beside the judge to hear what they say about various fleeces and to observe how they work with the fleeces!

General Volunteers:
In addition to the above volunteer duties, the General Volunteers may be any of the following:

• Performance Ring Volunteer
• Fleece Check-In (Thursday pm)
• Silent Auction & Raffle Table
• Contact Information

Volunteers also receive a Special Thank You Gift!

In appreciation, all volunteers receive a unique Volunteer T-Shirt that is not available for purchase. Volunteers this year will also have a few surprises in store for them. But you'll have to volunteer to see what they are!

If you checked a Volunteer Box during the online show registration, the Volunteer Coordinator, will be contacting you before the Show.
