Tad Lincoln is the son of Mary Todd Lincoln. We have been naming our alpacas with a Gettysburg Civil War theme. We also name them in ABC order. When Mary Todd had her boy cria we were on "T". Looking toward history to help with a name I couldn't help but notice that the human Mary Todd had a son with a "T" name. So goes the story and Tad got his name.
That said he has a magnificent family tree in the alpaca world as well. His bloodlines include such names as NWA, LTD Accoyo Franklin, PPeruvian Felix, Peruvian Hemingway G171, PPPeruvian El Moustachio 6003, and more. Tad has a great confirmation with straight legs and good teeth. His fiber is oh so soft which comes from his low micron count. His fiber length is long and crimpy. His fiber is the one that hand spinners request by name.
