Koi is an beautiful guy. Out of one our very dense, and even in her teens, very impressive foundation females, Joanna, and our .38 son, Gael, Koi is the whole package from his regal (and flashy!) presence and typey conformation to his amazing fleece. We haven't had the opportunity to take him into the show ring as much as he should have but one look at him and his quality will speak for him! Gael, Koi's sire, is one of the most impressive greys we have had our hands on. His staple length is incredible with a high frequency, tight crimp from his skin to the tip of the lock. This guy just reeks of greatness. His fiber is incredible! He is so dense, his fiber is so bright and his fleece character is amazing! He's crimp is so consistent throughout all his fiber and I just can't get enough of it. I will go further into detail about him later on but let's start with his great bloodlines. His sire is multi blue ribbon winner, Benchmark's "Pre"Fontaine, out of multi champ rose grey Vindaloo and has really blown us away with his beautiful offspring and with his lingering fleece attributes. You see the world renowned Aussie .38 Special in connection with an alpaca's lines and you know you are most likely looking at a well established, incredibly well bred animal with the ridiculously gorgeous fiber, grey lines and the looks to prove it. Gael is absolutely no exception. His fiber is unbelievable. His 2015 fleece AFD was 13.65. His staple length is just ridiculous. His super consistent crimp is tight and bright.
